I have a level 7 mechanic and at that point, your custom rig gets additional benefits, but there doesn't currently seem to be a way to integrate the purchasable upgrades for it. I can a "fake" custom rig and then modify that, but you end up having to tweak it quite a bit for things like miniaturization.
I was just wondering if there was something I was missing, and if there isn't, it would be nice if your Custom Rig was also considered a computer and could be tweaked as one. |

I have the same issue. It could just be very poor instructions but I just submitted it as a bug report because, multiple google searches show this is an on going problem.
