Hi. Remember a while ago we discussed having a "don't care" value to
the target column? Any idea on when this could be in? I just ask cuz I'm running into a problem that would be neatly solved by this. I'll explain the problem, and if there's a current solution to it please let me know. OK, I got my L5R cards recently, and all of the early stuff was purchased in bulk. The L5R base sets are mostly the same, barring some fixed cards on starters. So, I bought from this guy a "base set playset", meaning 1 or 3 of each card in the base sets Imperial, Obsidian, and Emerald. This basically meant a "1-of-each" of Imperial, the fixed cards from the other two, and the rest of the playset was randomly spread thorough all 3 sets. Now I'm trying to put this into CV, and trying to decide on what should be the target for each card. Now, I *know* I have the full set, so I won't need to track down specific cards. It's just a matter of putting it into Cv for cataloguing and deckbuilding purposes. Still, as it is I'll get 2 problems: 1) Any of the "random cards" that complete the playset that belong to Imperial will show up as "excess" when they really aren't, if I keep my target as 1 for all cards. 2) The other 2 expansions will have lots of "aquire" values, since, for example, all Uniques I have only the Imperial version. There are, that I can think of, 2 solutions to the problem. One is for me to wait until lonewolf publishes the patch that includes the "don't care" target, and use that. The other is to forget batch-editing target values, and go through each card and set it's target to the number of that card I own. Anyone can think of anything else I can do? ABilio, who is REALLY getting a headache from thinking about this. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Option #3....
1. Enter the inventory that you own into CV. 2. Uncheck the "Target is Fixed" setting. 3. Use batch edit to set the excess and acquire values to zero for all cards. 4. Check the "Target is Fixed" setting. Your target values should now equate to the quantity owned. Hope this helps, Rob At 12:53 PM 3/30/2003 -0800, you wrote: >Hi.
