Thank You Rob for your response to my last question! Bless You Sir! I don't know that I understood all that, but am working on it...So far it has'nt given me a problem. Anyway, I wanted to delete a character. I went to "File" and selected the character, and selected "delete character". The message I got was "Go jump off a bridge!".....er........."You may not delete the only top-level character in the portfolio". Help me Obi Wan Kenobi! By the way Rob; Do you play/run WOD?

There is an important distinction between the portfolio itself and a character within a portfolio. The portfolio is an actual file on your computer. Each portfolio contains one or more characters. A portfolio may never contain zero characters.

If you have a portfolio with multiple characters, you can delete a single character out of that portfolio, leaving the rest in place. This is what the "Delete Character" option on the "Portfolio" menu is for.

If you want to physically delete an entire portfolio, you would do this from within Windows Explorer. This works just like deleting any other file on your computer.

If you have a portfolio that contains a single character, you cannot delete that character from the portfolio. Instead, you would need to delete the entire portfolio by deleting the file using Windows Explorer.

Hope this makes sense....

P.S. I used to play WoD a little bit, but not recently. I've only ever run a single session as ST. That was one-shot game with my group when we were testing out the utility of the WoD data files before release.
