Tries to sit patiently.
Is finding the task somewhat unbearable. Attempts to do something else. Checks email. Finds nothing. Tries to sit patiently. Repeat. |

Starts looking at websites that sell goats, thinking that a sacrifice must be made.
The wife avoids being in the same room, claiming the wild look in the eyes is too unnerving. |

It's still Friday night (1:45am). About an hour ago, we got everything fully working. I just posted the big Kickstarter Update with all the details for backers on how to get the new release.
P.S. The bars are still open, so nobody can claim we didn't get this thing out on Friday night, as promised! |

Congrats on your release! I woke up this morning and there it was.
I look forward to a lot of typing, wait, why would I look forward to that...? |

Not official answer (you'll clearly see that I am a spy... umm... that made more sense in my head), but at the current rate of progress, the answer is going to be "a few weeks". Can't really nail it down any more than that, but it goes a little something like this:
Week 1: New Beta Release to Beta Testers. Fix ze BUGZ! Week 2: Roll Update out to Early Access users. FIX MOAR BUGZ! Frantically write more code. Week 3: Roll Bugfix out to Beta and EA users. Cross fingers that there's no more showstopping bugs. Wait for bug reports. ROLL OUT VERSION 1.0! Any showstoppers would slow that down. That's really a best-case scenario (and LWD can stun me with beating it any time they like...). Everyone is aware that people want this software, and want it NOW. Unlike many software development houses, LWD don't want to release a product and immediately have to issue a bug-fixing v1.0a. They want 1.0 to be stable, usable, and awesome, and one where any updates they release are upGRADES. Massively lofty goal on their part, and I fully predict that there's going to be a bug-fix shortly after launch, but I'm also pretty confident (from personal experience with this software so far as an EA user) that it will do what it says on the tin. |
