Just wondering if the change to the rules system for D&D 4th edition affect Hero Lab?

Wrong part of the forums for this particular question, but here's an answer from the peanut gallery:

That all depends on WotC. If they release enough of it under the OGL, then Wolflair can build the dataset for 4th editon. If not, then a licensing deal may be possible similar to the one they have with White Wolf and Green Ronin.

FifthWanderer, you triggered the nit-picker in me. :-)

4e will not be released under OGL, but under a new license called the Game System License. And what this license encompasses remains to be seen. Of course, with the DDI initiative going live in may and the so called Character Creator being part of it, chances are that WotC doesn't allow for 3rd party software.

Ah wasn't aware of that. Leave it to WotC to fubar everything. They're the Microshaft of the gaming industry.
