I've gotten hero lab installed on wine but I'm running into an issue where it won't connect to the internet for updates. I'm not sure what to do next. I've searched for my problem online but no one seems to have had similar circumstances. I was hoping that maybe someone on here has run into this problem before and could suggest how to fix?

@arthur, are you talking about the Hero Lab client, not Hero Lab online?

Given he mentions he "installed" it, most likely Classic. For what it's worth, I noticed the same thing earlier today, although I'm also upgrading my Ubuntu install, so I assumed it had to do with that.

I had that problem with Mint 18.something a while back and never got it working. I switched to Ubuntu 18.04 and it's been working fine ever since. I did a Wireshark trace with Mint and it seemed to be having a problem with a certificate not being trusted or something but never followed up on it.
Edit - This was with HL Classic, not Online. |
