One of the projects I am working on grants the hero 4 additional familiar types in addition to the norm ones listed in the spell. These familiars are constructs.

Does anyone know how to add another type to the Familiar's Type drop down?

The normal selection is fey, celestial, and fiend. I'd like to add construct (tpConst) to that list.

Hi, I'm looking for an answer to this, too. In 'Curse of Strahd' one can cast Find Familiar, but the type of familiar summoned is 'Undead'. I'd like to have that represented in Hero Labs as well. Thanks!

I still haven't found a way to add new familiar types. Like you I need the Undead type and, in addition, the Construct type.

This wasn't intuitive, but you can create the Undead and Construct type for familiars using the Racial Custom Ability tab under Race in the editor (requiring you to have a custom file). The existing three types are coded there (rcFamFey, rcFamCeles, rcFamFiend).

You can copy rcFamFey and replace the tpFey references with tpUndead and it will work. (Just one reference in the Eval script and one in the bootstrap).

Sweet. It allowed me to add Undead and Construct. I've been trying to figure that out since Hero Lab put out 5E.

Thanks again.
