Hi all!

I'm trying to build some datafiles and copying text off of a webpage. When I do though. I often get this error:
Code:
Hero Lab was forced to stop compilation after the following errors were detected:

File: thing_X.dat (line XX) - Thing '<thing id>' - Invalid characters used in string for attribute 'description'
Does anyone have any suggestions, or better yet tools/programs to handle this kind of thing?

Usually, this means that one of the characters in the text you copied from that page does not have a representation in the UTF-8 encoding that Hero Lab files must be written in.

Does your text editor have settings that will let you enforce a particular XML encoding?
