Hi,
I am putting a character into herolab for one of the players in our campaign. He has chosen a variant multiclassed lizardfolk. Whenever I select Lizardfolk as a race it also puts them into level 1 and 2 of the class section. I am wondering if I have something turned on or off I should not. Thank you for your help. |

That's because a Lizardfolk has 2 racial hit dice. It is not a standard PC race.
You could try building something similar using the Race Builder rules, but it wouldn't be as powerful as a standard lizardfolk. Last edited by Farling; April 30th, 2017 at 07:23 AM. |

That's the NPC version of Lizardfolk. The ARG defines a PC version but it doesn't seem to be included in the package and when I tried to build it in the Race Builder it gave me errors. I'd report it as a bug.

The only error on the lizardfolk from page 226 of the ARG is that you need to select "Custom Race - Advanced" because Claws is only allowed for Advanced races, even though the whole race is only costing 8 RP.
HeroLab doesn't have any of the sample races which appear in the "Race Builder" chapter of ARG. |

If you have the Community Pack installed and you turn on "ShadowChemosh Adjustments". Then after adding the Lizardfolk race you can use the adjustment "Race, Hit Dice Remove" to remove the two hit dice.
I did just notice that not all the Hit Points are being removed correctly. So until I get that fixed you can just use the "Hit Points" adjustment to adjust the HP back to zero before adding a class. Thank you all for replying. I did not see this thread show up Sunday so I started another one. Sorry for the confusion. Now I just have to go adjust the character. I also can now explain to the GM why it is showing up like this.

The power of a lizardfolk is far more than just the 2HD though. That's why the character will be 2 CR higher than the regular races in your game.
