What is this setting for? I'm not sure how/when it appeared. And how do I remove it?

It is one of the user-created files, if you've ever used the editor. Maybe you added some text into the "source" field of an item.

Highly unlikely. This is new clean installation of HL. No custom user-created files, except Shadow's Community Pack and World is Square.

I just verified that neither the Community Pack or World is Square has a any reference to MattDroz. I then checked over a bunch of the TobyFox2002 data files also and found nothing.
I would remove both the Community Pack and World is Square addon's and then look manually for any .user/.1st files left in the Pathfinder folder. Thank you. I found the update that was loading. This is from the "Good and Services" update.
