I was wondering on how to change how race's name appears if it was in a Hero Lab file that you can't access.

For example if in a homebrew game I wanted to change the name of a gnome race to dirt dweller but keep the rest of the race the same.

Some days I don't know why I bother to chew through the restraints.

There is an adjustment to do that in the Community Pack.

Custom Name: Race
Appears in ShadowChemosh's Adjustments

Thanks, but I know there is an adjustment. That, though, is a one at a time adjustment. What I want to do is change the racial name in my HomeBrew game for all the time.

So if I wanted to change from orc to pest it would always then be pest.

Adapt it to a mechanic? (aren't those on all characters by default?)

In the editor, if you copy the gnome race, and put the Id of the original into "replaces thing Id" (which is on the right-hand side, under the blue buttons), it becomes a replacement for that Id.
