Along with the V3.6 release of Hero Lab, a new set of Savage Worlds data files (V1.7) is also included. Below is a quick summary of all the changes.
A few of the changes were made to enable easier implementation of Savage Settings. I'll delve into the details of using that new stuff separately.
Enhancements:- The Configure Character form now allows easier access to the settings for the character.
- When you create an NPC, an NPC tab now appears before the Personal tab. Details entered on the NPC tab appear in statblock output.
- Added "wikitext" statblock output from the "File" -> "Output Active Hero Summary" menu item.
- Tags are now automatically inherited from the "Arcane" tag group into the "ArcaneDeny" tag group, so it's only necessary to add a new tag once for a new arcane background.
- When Smarts-based language selection is employed (ala Rippers), those languages are now output at the top of the character sheet.
- Re-sequenced the groupings of sources on the Configure Hero form.
- Added a new Savage Settings source that can be assigned as the parent for new sources introduced within user content for the various Savage Settings supplements.
- Creatures for which edges are automatically assigned ignore any pre-requisite requirements for those edges (e.g. Frenzy requiring Fighting d10).
- All standard (i.e. built-in) gear can be instantly removed from use by assigning the "Hero.NoStdGear" to the hero. This makes it possible to easily replace all standard equipment with custom equipment for a Savage Setting.
- Generalized support for Factions is now included and can be easily enabled for any Savage Settings that require them.
Bug Fixes:- Journal output was sometimes resulting in journal entries being cut off prematurely.
- In a few places, the highlighting of invalid selections was handled incorrectly.
- The inclusion of personal details in character sheet output can now be properly toggled on and off via configuration settings.
- Removed the Super Power attribute from display on the Dashboard and TacCon, as it's supposed to be hidden for internal use only.
- Creatures were always reporting the "Advances: Resource unspent" validation error that doesn't apply to them.
- Some creatures were missing appropriate pre-requisite edges (e.g. Frenzy was missing when Improved Frenzy was possessed).
