Trying to figure out the race builder

Been trying to create a human variant that has darkvision 120' added and am running into a few problems.

1. I did not see any way of indicating what age/weight range it would fall into even though I did indicate it was humanoid/human.

2. It seemed I was locked into 1 of 3 values for number of race points to use but I wanted to set it to 12 for the above. In the personal tab, I did find an option to adjust Racial Custom Abilities with a sub option for Race Points, but attempting to use it only gave me a warning about "syntax error in dynamic 'candidate' tag expression"

3. There needs to be an option to do a full reset on everything you select with the race builder. At one point I decided to just go back to base human and just add a note in background details that he had the dark vision but race builder never fully disengaged (second picture, custom racial traits I had add were deleted but could not get rid of the other stuff).

Here is the really easy way to do what you want:

1) Add human to your character.
2) Press CTRL-K and turn your character into a "Non-Player Character" and press OK.
3) On the "Background" tab press the wrench icon to the right of Human that says "Customize".
4) Select "Customize Racial Special Abilities".
5) A huge list of new options appear. Click on "Add Senses" under "Senses".
6) Select Darkvision a press "Add & Close".
7) To the right of the Darkvision (60 ft) is a counter you can increase to 120.
8) Click again on "Customize" and de-select "Customize Racial Special Abilities".
9) Press CTRL-K and turn your character into a "Player Character" and press OK.
