Is there a way to put a hyperlink into the journal?

Not that I can see (though that's an interesting feature request). You could just paste the address in as a record if nothing else.

True, but it only retains the text..... It would be nice to generate a link.. thus allowing me to drop those into the characters file... ie maps, etc
