My challenge was meant in the spirit of fun. I did say it was tongue-in-cheek, and that if you couldn't handle that, it wouldn't be my problem, so stop reading. You kept reading then chose to respond negatively. Again, not my problem.

I asked everyone to be respectful, but that appears to have been a tall order. It seems Christmas has brought out the inner child in a number of folks, as some of you seem compelled to keep trying to get the last word in, just like my nephews used to do when they were kids.

Well, the last word here is mine. Everybody step away, take a deep breath, and come back later. This thread is now closed.

Later today, I'll come back and address a few of the questions that were raised above. I MAY re-open the thread at that point, but only if I feel that better decorum will prevail here. Please give me reason to believe that will be the case....

Quick note: Today did not go the way I envisioned it, so I'm not going to be able to address some of the questions that have been raised as I had planned for tonight. I had to euthanize my cat tonight. She's been my loyal companion for just shy of 20 years and the whole experience has really messed me up.

I have to be on a plane in less than 12 hours and haven't slept yet, so I don't expect I'll be back online until Saturday at the earliest. Thanks in advance for being patient and cutting me a little slack right now.
