It sounds like Realm Works may be coming very soon! Perhaps now would be a good to to ask then...what payment methods will be available?

I hate giving out my card number to places anymore. Will there be any options like PayPal, Amazon, Google, heck - even BitCoin?

I also see that 6 months of the cloud service is included. Does that mean that we'll also be signed up for auto-renewal? Does it mean that the card number (if given) will be kept for future billing?

Finally, will there be any kind of reminder or notification system in place, informing the customer that they have been billed...or possibly even that they're about to be billed?

Initially, we'll support credit card payments only. It's possible we'll add other payment options in the future, but that entails a bunch of work that isn't focused on enhancing the product, so it will be competing against new product features in the prioritized todo list.

We will NOT be keeping your credit cards on file - at least, not initially. Doing so requires that we take a lot of extra precautions on the server side and get our security extra tight to safeguard credit card numbers. We won't have that level of security in place at launch, so we won't keep your credit card information. We've been investigating using an ultra-secure service for that purpose, but it won't be implemented at launch. Bottom line: there will be no auto-renewal until we have an appropriately secure solution in place. Look for additional details on an option like this in the Spring.

We'll definitely be setting up a reminder system that warns users prior to their subscription needing to be renewed. We still need to work out the details, but it will involve notifications both within the product and via email, just to make sure users see them. There are a variety of niggly details to work through with regards to handling renewals. We've got a list of them, but we haven't decided how we'll handle all of them yet.

Hope this helps!
