I've been out of the coding for a while.
I'm back into using HeroLab when I last used in August and I haven't used it on Mac much.

I seemed to recall an option on Windows "Enable Data File Debugging" that allowed right clicking to see more info.

I enabled this on mac and restarted herolab app, but right clicking doesn't do anything.

What am I missing?

Hmm, not me.

I've got "Enable Data File Debugging" checked in Develop menu.

So then I point at a skill and right click, which doesn't do anything.

Ideas?

Pointing at a skill where? There are subtleties in the way the display is generated that can matter for whether data file debugging is available in a specific location.

Well, I tried pointing at the skill int the skills tab (between basic and feats), and I also tried pointing at specials in the special tab.

Basically, I haven't been able to either remember how to do it or get it to behave differently. When I right click all I get is the normal info. Like right click on heal and I get Heal (Wisdom) blah copy from core rules ... core rulebook p 98 txt.

It sounds like you're seeing the contents of the Info button. I don't have a Mac, so I can't test, but is it different if you right click the name of the skill or elsewhere other than the "?" button?

I've right clicked on the name, on the ?, on the name in the skills tab, on the name in the skills summary.

I'm at a loss. It sounds like it is just me.

I'm running 4.1a #350 with 7.9 Pathfinder running.

I figured it out.
On a whim, I grabbed an actual microsoft 3 button mouse and attached via USB to the laptop.
Right click works now. So I found at some point the "click in bottom right of trackpad" option for second (right) click got disabled.

Fixed now.
Sorry for the confusion, turns out it was all me.
