Maybe this is a stupid question because there is a PFS rule that says you can't do it. If that is true I can't seem to find it.
I have a character that is currently a level 4 monk. While at a game a friend suggested that at the next level I should take a level of Sorcerer with Emperyal Bloodline so I can use my Wisdom modifier instead of the Charisma, since the monk has a high wisdom. The problem I am running into is when I try to add the level of Sorcerer you need to use the Wildblooded Archetype to find Emperyal Bloodline, but I can't seem to add that when I add the level of Sorcerer. Bottom line the question is am I trying to do something that isn't actually PFS legal, something wrong in Hero Labs, or is it just something that Hero Labs just simply doesn't do? |

I just did it, so I am not sure what's happening for you. Here's how I did it. Made a monk, 4th level. Added a level of sorcerer 3/4's down the screen, in the "classes" tab, it says "archetypes". I click on that, scroll down to view the sorcerer archetypes, then chose wildblooded and exit. Click tab "sorcerer" and choose empyreal under the bloodlines. Maybe if you outline what error you are facing it might help us to better help you solve the issue(s). Cheers. |

Not sure how you are doing it but I made a 4th-level Monk, added one level of Sorcerer, added Wildwood archetype, added Emperyal bloodline. No problem. Not even an error report. Might be something off on your install.
Some days I don't know why I bother to chew through the restraints. |

Well this actually helps. After you both posted that you were able to do it with out any problems I went back and created a new portfolio and tried it both with PFS restrictions and with out and it is working fine there. Just seems to be a problem when I am trying it with my character portfolio that I had created back a couple of updates ago. Maybe there was a bug fix that my character still has because of when the file was created. So I guess I may have to just start from scratch to get it work right.
Thanks for the help. |

My take is you didn't activate the right book for that character. The allowed books are saved with each character. So open your character and press CTL-K and make sure Ultimate Magic is check marked.

Now that you mentioned that I did have the profile created before I had the Ultimate Magic Option. I just went back and double checked the settings and now it is working with out starting the profile all over again.
Thanks ShadowChemosh. |
