I've already got HL for D&D. I was looking at it for Pathfinder as I'm branching out into it.
I can't really tell though how much support there is for the 3rd party books. Specifically the Alien Codex from Legendary Games or the New Paths Compendium by Open Gaming/Design. Is there much support for books like those or am I better off looking somewhere else? |

It does have New Paths Compendium and the expanded addition. And 3rd party support depends on the publisher.

And, given the OGL, there's a lot of 3rd party material in the Pathfinder Community Pack.
Currently Running: Pathfinder Second Edition Currently Playing: Pathfinder First Edition, Star Trek Adventures Former HL Games: D&D 4e & 5e, Mutants & Masterminds 2E & 3E, Savage Worlds |

While I don't have the time, the resources are available... and if you're willing to make the attempt to learn and investigate what you can copy (from existing features in items, classes, whatever), then the community is exceptionally helpful in aiding your quest to learn to Hero Lab code.
Given the will, you can code almost anything into Hero Lab yourself, with some time too. |
