My preference would be for adding the new column, although I'd call it rank,
rather than strength. I only play HC, so I don't know if that would interfere with stats on the other games. Yes, in HC and MW, Rank is the widely-used term, while in MK, Strength would be the right term.
Also, I'd like to point out (just in case you are not aware) that Yahoo Groups has a built-in polling mechanism. Ed had set-up a poll on there back in May, but I wonder why you guys don't use polls more often. Whether for things like this, or to find out what additions people want most in the next CV update, etc. --Kyle Turner emperor799@bellsouth.net "Let's face it, you can buy a bucket of hair at inflated prices on ebay." -- astral_drake ----- Original Message ----- From: rcross To: cardvault@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, September 10, 2003 8:05 AM Subject: [CardVault] Clickie poll My preference would be for adding the new column, although I'd call it rank, rather than strength. Polls take time to setup and monitor. Yes, it's not much time, but it's
still time. And I'm already working regular 90-hour weeks, with lots of folks on this list wondering why all the things they want added aren't ready yet. Colen is putting in extremely long weeks as well. So the polling I do regarding features is informal at best. When people ask about something, I make a note and add it to the todo list. When lots of different people ask for a feature, it gets bumped up in priority. Or when I personally can see where a given feature will be generally useful to lots of users across multiple games, it starts out at a higher priority. Colen is operating the same way. It's a juggling act to keep a very diverse user base happy across a wide range of game systems, each with very different requirements. There's no way to make anyone 100% happy without completely ignoring someone else. The result is an attempt to keep everyone as happy as possible. So far, the V1.1 and V1.2 updates have been very well received, with everyone generally feeling like we're adding features they want. I'm hoping that V1.3 continues in that vein. :-) We're definitely listening (that includes Colen), and we're definitely doing our best to add the features users want the most. When it comes down to budgeting time, though, I'd rather spend the extra few hours over a 3-month period adding more features to CV than setting up and monitoring formalized polls. :-) Thanks, Rob At 01:24 PM 9/10/2003 -0400, you wrote: >Also, I'd like to point out (just in case you are not aware) that Yahoo >Groups has a built-in polling mechanism.
