For the love of all that is Holy, make this a option that can be turned off by the user. Like Parody, I prefer to open multiple tabs instead of relying on the individual tab history - the only time I tend to navigate back is when I accidentally follow a link instead of opening a new tab (a preference to "always open links in a new tab" would be most welcome as well).

Basically for me, every time I am done with anything I get a nuisance box popping up that adds an unnecessary click. This is definitely my single biggest gripe with the Realm Works UI, and it would be completely obviated by a preference check box.

Please, please, please Lone Wolf - let the users decide if they want this behavior or not.

I second this.

Legend has it, that the Tarrasque is a huge fighting beast, perpetually hungry.
Sleet entered History when he managed to get on the back of a Tarrasque only to be ridden out of History shortly after.

Using Realm Works, Worldographer (Hexographer 2), LibreOffice, Daz3D Studio, pen & paper for the realm World of Temeon and the system LEFD - both homebrewed.

In general, you will find confirmations that don't have a "don't show again" option where it may be very very annoying to continue when you didn't mean to.

This is a usability issue. Usability issues are best left to users to decide on. IF they find it annoying that they lost the history then they can re-tick the option to show the warning. If they don't find that annoying then don't force on them something they do find annoying instead.

Yes, look at Chrome. You can close a Tab, but it has a "recent tabs closed" option. Its awesome.

I just noticed on my lunch break that there is now a "do not show this message again" check box on the Close Tab dialog. Hallelujah!

Thanks LWD!

I have to agree with this logic and +1 the request. I have used other programs where I have chosen not to see the "are you sure" notice and if I loose something from closing the wrong tab I know it's my fault. And since you do like to let the users sway the program (calendars) then...

As JustinThomason has mentioned, this was added in a recent release. If you are not seeing this, check for updates. Personally, I don't check it as I like the warning to protect me from my tendency to click before thinking. :-)
