I have the "Wiztest" class that appears in my list of class

What is it? And how can I get rid of it?

Also since I updated to 8.9x on my Mac, Herolab is acting weird, some windows and buttons are not showing properly.

I'm getting worried ):

It sounds like someone's user file for a test Wizard class. When you select "Wiztest" as a class level, scroll down to the bottom of the right panel description - hopefully it gives you the source of that file. Also, on the Journal tab, you can click on "Books Used" to see what user file it's from.
Locate and delete that user file, from .../Hero Lab/data/pathfinder (Might be different on a mac)
As for odd behavior - email support

Current RPG's: Pathfinder (GM), Pathfinder (Player), Gamma World (GM, Pathfinder homebrew).
HeroLab: 3.5 & Pathfinder. HL User Files for PF: Greyhawk Setting, Gamma World (WIP).

DM and player of D&D since 1980.

Thanks but I tried what you suggested Dami, and I can't find anything

I unchecked every user file in the configure hero panel and the wiztest class is still there

You say 8.9x, but make sure it's 8.9c, because there were some visual issues on Macs on 8.9a or 8.9b.

It sounds like whomever created this did not assign it to a source, which means that even if you turn off every source, you'll still have that class around.

One option is to open the editor, and look through the list of .user files that are in your default directory using the editor, until you can find and remove wiztest.

The other option would be to look through the files themselves, and move all of the .user files outside of their default folder (even to a sub-folder will keep them from appearing in HL), and then use the downloads mechanism to re-add clean copies of only the ones you're sure you want.

How do I do that?

If you're still having issues in 8.9c, please report them as bugs.

From the tools menu, choose "Show Editor". In the File menu in the editor, choose "Open Data File", and then scroll through the list of files showing there to see what you've got - if you find one that seems like it might be a likely source for this item, open it, and then look through the various content in that file to see if you fin wiztest.

FWIW, more advanced text editors like Notepad++ let you search the text of a set of files, and many operating systems have a search option for a file folder that also lets you search within them if they are believed to be text files.

Just noticed that I have Wiztest showing up too. It's in these files:

Dragonlance - Campaign Setting.user
timing.xml

Ah, the latter is an autogenerated file that you can use to resolve conflicts as to the order the rules apply in.
