my imperial gauard uses both the imperial guard and catachens codex's
and the hive gang milltia from armageddon codex. i want to make is a
hive gang mailltia platoon. it will be like a gaurd platoon but mad
up of hive gang members and gear. but evry time i try to make the
army builder file i miss up big time. help pleace. sorry for the
spelling.

Please clarify what you are attempting to do. If it is an IG army of
vanilla guard plus Catachan plus Armageddon then this can be done using
the existing files. Select the Imperial Guard:P.D.F. which will display
the available Catachan type units in a mixed deathworld/IG army along
with the hive gang militia from Armageddon.

If you wish to take a pdf type force then certain units are unavailable,
as per C:A. If you are playing more than one detachment and taking a
detachment of each, then make up one detachment, deduct the cost from
your total and build your other detachment(s) to the remaining points.
You will have 2+ rosters but life is never perfect.

Builder files, if you can't work those out then it'll be difficult to
help you.

Is there anything specific that's giving you a problem?

I wonder if the problem is related to the way the PDF files have been
done Colen? I had assumed that an Armageddon PDF force was limited only
by the constraints laid down on page 30 of C:A. This makes certain units
unavailable and certain upgrades required. It doesn't say within these
constraints that deathworld upgrades are not available, but this could
be inferred from the preceding paragraph which says the only real
difference between normal guard and PDF is lack of access to some
specialised troops. It doesn't actually say no deathworld vet upgrades,
which considering Armageddon counts as a deathworld is strange. After
all you can take normal Hardened Vets so why can't you give them
deathworld upgrades?

Is this a ruling from GW. Sorry if you covered this in the FAQ, I
deleted the info file to speed things up It seemed to take an age
otherwise

I think you're on the wrong issue, but you've made a good point
nonetheless

Currently the 'Deathworld Veteran' ability is restricted to "imperial
guard only". This made sense when there were only the Imperial Guard and
Catachans around; now I suppose it'd be better as "non catachan only".
I'll change it for the next version.
