Your statement :- "YOu can charge multiple units but you must completely engage the first unit model to model before moving onto another unit." Rulebook quote :- "It is perfectly permissible for a unit to charge into combat with multiple opposing units, provided that it engages the closest enemy unit first, then the next nearest and so on until it runs out of models close enough to move into base-to-base contact." You dont need to completely engage a unit before moving onto the next one, but all models in the assaulting unit must move into contact with the enemy if they can do so. Err, well, this isn't an armybuilder questions, but I don't have a more
appropriate web source since I left the multi-million message a day igcom list, as cool as it is. Anyways, can anyone give me a "chapter and verse" for an answer to the question: "Can a squad charge multiple targets?" If any of you have seen the new trial stand & fire rule on GW's web page, one part of it seemed to connote that it was possible, but I can't find rules for it. (It's probably right there under Assault, but I can't find it. ) -Michael ------------------------ Yahoo! As far as I know, it is widely accepted that a single unit may
assault multiple enemies in the same phase. On the other note, of which I am more certain, I read an interview with Andy Chambers & he said that the Hold Your Ground rules were actually written with vehicles in mind (something coming from outside normal shooting distances to assault range...or in this case, long-range tank shock). This, he said, allows the assailed unit to have a chance at return fire, before being plowed into by the enemy vehicle. ericbloodax __________________________________________________ _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------ Yahoo!
