I'm using Mac OS X.

I'm trying to add a modification for a point built race. What it effectively does is exchange all the Summon Monster spells with Summon Nature's ally spells.

How I'm trying to do this is through the Personal->permanent adjustments. I select 'add spell to class spell list', however when I try to select Summon nature's Ally, the end of it is truncated (so all I see is 'Summon Nature's' for a list several long), making it almost impossible to determine which version of the spell I'm adding. The only way to find out is go back into the spell list, and see if the correct one is added.

There should be a way to extend such boxes so you can read the entire term. Is there?

I'll answer with a "No, but..." I would have this pull the SpInfo tag from the selected spell. That way you could check which one was selected by hovering over the ? for your ability and seeing what is appended to the description. That is certainly quicker than what you describe doing now.
