You can import and export but you can't share publicly, i'm afraid

You could post the PRD material as long as it isn't charged for. But as far as I know there were always problems with the attempts.

1. Sharing the info publicly in RW's format will step on LWD's toes. 2. It will step on Paizo's toes. 3. It will cast shadows on, and possibly harm, LWD's agreement with Paizo. Technically, as long as you're in full accordance with the terms and conditions of the OGL, you're in the clear. If anything seems out of place, you might find yourself on the receiving end of a cease and desist letter. Then you'll have a decision to make. |

Did anyone get the import down to a reasonable size? 5GB wasn't reasonable.

Also there is a compress database option now? Maybe that helps?

Hey folks, what's the story with the possibility of this import? I'm super interested in this but I cannot determine the final outcome of this collection of data after reading through the forum thread. Is this available? If so, where can I find it?

Step 2: Find a source where you can get the SRD stuff in CSV format. Step 3: Use Farling's tool to import the SRD stuff from the CSV file(s). Step 4: Backup your database. Step 5: Compress your database. |

I'll also point out that adding 10,000 odd articles to a realm will have adverse effects on that realm. Tabs will open much more slowly. switching topics in general will be slow. make sure you really have need for this stuff before you do this.
