Hello everyone,

I have a Crab (standard King Crab) as a companion, but when I added the "Awaken" spell under the Adjust tab it doesn't seem to add the intelligence bonuses? Or even show them?
It adds the +2 HD and the Charisma modifiers correctly, so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong.

Strangely, when I try to do a Permanent Adjustment (under the Personal tab) it also doesn't add any INT.

Am I doing something wrong? No matter what I do the crab's INT is null. This is what it looks like.

Awaken only applies to animals not vermin. As you are in houserule territory you wil need to install the Community Pack and turn on ShadowChemosh Adjustments. Then you will have a new awaken animal spell adjustment that can be applied only to vermin and will let you set the amount of Int.

Welcome to Pathfinder, the simulationist game system where arthropods are not animals.

I wouldnt classify it quite that way. The vermin type has a fairly well defined niche, just like most other creature types.

Is a rat an animal? yes, is it vermin? Yes, how should we classify it? Vermin, OK.
