It appears that hyperlinks in the Player View are not clickable within the Player View - which I assume is by design. Is that correct?

I would say yes, since it's main function is simply as something to display, rather than the forthcoming Player Version, which would be fully hyperlinked and such.

Sorry for missing this thread until now. I'm generally not a fan of forum software because it's too easy to miss a thread and have the forums assume you're just not interested (like now).

It's definitely a design decision. When you are showing Player View, everything is assumed to be managed by the GM. All content to be displayed is reviewed by the GM, and potentially re-sized, before being made visible to the player. If we supported hyperlinks in Player View, it would violate that design model and potentially put GMs at risk of showing material they might now want shown.

So we require the GM to explicitly designate all content that should be shown in Player View. And then we require the GM to explicitly show that content to the players via a second step as an added precaution against inadvertently revealing material that's not wanted.

Hope this makes sense!
