I see the personalised ratings as handling things that only I care about,
although it would be *extremely* handy
if personalised ratings could be treated as a subset of another rating if
desired. Eg. I have 4 mint Black Lotus,
of which 2 are signed and 2 are unsigned.

Hmm, yes, that would work for what I wanted it for too. Then you could make sub-qualities under "electronic" for each specific electronic version of a game. If you could set it up so that, when a user creates a new "sub-qualioty," that sub-qualkity would then be able to be track for totals in inv, used when printing inventory, can be filtered to in both inv and deckbuilding, etc., etc., etc. then that would be great and terribly useful. That way, all quantites in "sub-qualities" would be totaled and tracked,

And with trade lists and other inter-operability issues, CV could just throw everything into the parent quality. To make thing simpler and much more useful, CV could "auto-note" cards put into "sub-qualities."

Basically "auto-note" would work like this: with already suggested inventory notes (which keep sounding more and more useful,) CV could auto-note anything you put into a custom quality. i.e. if you put a card into "Planeswalkers," a custom sub-quality under "electronic," then that card would automatically get a note sayiing that it's a "Planeswalkers" card. Or when you put a card into a "signed" sub-quality, it would get a note saying that it's a signed card, so basically it would make a note based on the template "This card is a XXXX card." And that would work for most everything, though with the CMGs, it would have to use the word "figure" instead of "card". You could also set this function so it can be turned on and off via the settings menu, in case somebody might not want it to auto-note.

Also, the *ability* to block certain qualities when generating trade lists and such would be helpful (if it doesn't already exist;-) that way, you could block electronic cards as a whole if you wanted to and then the various video game inventories wouldn't get sent at all, since Magic Online is about the only one you can trade with wihtout being face-to-face anyway. And when sending a Magic Online inventory, you could block all normal cards, and so on.

As I'm wrapping this up, I realize it all sounds very complicated, and would no doubt be complicated to impliment, but it would be EXTREMELY useful. This is the kind of higher-end stuff I've been waiting for CV to implement. Something to take it from being a helpful utility to being an essential tool.

That would be defined as a new style. (normal, foil, autographed, foil
autographed, etc.)

You can't currently filter on the quality, because it doesn't make sense
for filtering. However, I guess it would be appropriate to restrict
qualities, just like languages and styles. I'll put this on the todo list.
