The first place to start is the manual on using the Editor. From within the Editor, go to the Help menu and select the first option. Once you've reviewed that info, the next thing you should do is review the Authoring Kit wiki. This can also be accessed via the the Help menu. Within the wiki, you will find complete details on the language syntax, script timing, and all the other facets of scripting that you will need.
The specific timing details for each game system, as well as important tags and macros for each game system, will be found in the Editor documentation for a particular game system (i.e. the first manual I point out above).
