Earlier I mentioned about Feyri and half-giants. I asked about changing the resistance from fire on the half-giants and about a player that wants to run a Feyri.
I had an idea that I would like to throw at you guys that know this code better than I do. If possible would you be able to post the code for "Weapon Focus" or "Weapon Specialization" feats? My idea would be to create feats that would only activate if you picked that race to choose the resistance for the half-giant and the spell-like abilities for the Feyri. |

The half-giant thing is a house rule that I'm thinking about. Because I don't see where a half frost giant would have fire resistance. So a racial feat that would allow you to pick fire, cold, or electricity only makes since. I believe that the half-giants in the books are based off the Dark Sun half-giant which was desert based.
As for the Feyri one of the other programmers was stating that putting Feyri in was proving to be a problem because they get to pick their racial abilities and some of the racial abilities will increase their ECL. I was thinking that a racial feat that would allow you to pick a racial ability from a drop down box would work to get around this. And they would automatically gain 3 of them when they pick the race. Then the ability picked would determine if the ECL goes up or not. But the ECL adjustment is by 1 if any or all of the more powerful racial abilities are picked. |

I added the Half-Fey template from Ravenloft, and TobyFox2002 added the one from Fiend Folio for the upcoming release. Both of these use feats to select racial abilities in the same way that you are talking about here. With any luck, this will be out later this week so you can take a look at how they were done.

Getting an error after update - can't locate the problem. HL puts me in "recovery mode" - and will not load any user content.
Syntax error in 'eval' script for Thing 'cAAAA' (Eval Script '#1') on Line 2 -> Tag 'Classes.ChosenMys' not defined. When I look in the FR Players Guide user file - Chosen of Mystra is not present. Update - I did manage to get this to work - but I had to copy/paste the back-up the FR - Players Guide to Faerun.user. Last edited by Galdazan; June 27th, 2014 at 02:33 PM. |

Chosen of Mystra is no longer a Class, it is a template.
Using the old Players Guide to Faerun will work, but it will also cause other things to break. Especially in the future when it is with additional content. I do not know where this 'cAAAA' is, I cant find it at all in any of the files I have. I'll continue to look around though. |

This sounds like Galdazan has his own user file with a thing called cAAAA that references the old Chosen of Mystra class. Since the class was re-worked as a template, cAAAA would also need to be reworked in order to work with the template.
Depending on why you are looking for the Classes tag, you may be able to just replace that with "Template.tmChosMyst" Last edited by Sendric; June 27th, 2014 at 04:33 PM. |

Ah - Sendric and TobyFox - thank you!
I didn't think to look at my own user files - the Chosen of Mystra made me think it was something with the update. I did indeed have a cAAAA from an old file - linked to nothing, Delete and all is good now. Thanks! |

Very odd that it should react to the Chosen of Mystra, unless you tried to create a chosen of mystra in the past and just happened to name it exactly the same thing..
