I've got this idea nibbling at my brain regarding an issue with HL that has always annoyed me. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's worth the effort. One of my pet peeves about HL is that some weapons are both melee and ranged weapons. I briefly played around with the idea of making separate versions of each, but quickly realized that it would impact magic weapons (essentially, those types of weapons would also have two versions on the character sheet, one for ranged and one for melee).

However, I've been thinking about "shadowing" a ranged version of a weapon on a strictly melee version of a weapon so that I can get things to work. Again, magic items come into play, I would have to forward all the fields and tags to the now "shadowed" ranged weapon. Would this be worth my effort, would anyone else be interested in this kind of thing?

Anything further percolate to the surface on this idea?

No, been working hard all week and haven't made any time for HL so far. Doubt I'll look at this again until next week, don't have a game to run this week and I'm really hitting the OT hard, so my time is almost nil.
