I can't find where being full-blooded elf requirement is for the ancient elf ancestry feat. I have a half-elf what had it and now it is listed as invalid. It seems like it was a GM call. Why is this implemented in the builder if it isn't specifically indicated in the source?

While there's no official FAQ/Errata yet, Paizo staff has indicated that it is not a GM call; Ancient Elf depends on the full-blooded Eleven lifespan, which half-elves do not possess.

It's located here https://paizo.com/community/blog/v57...racter-Options under Lost Omens Character Guide. Until full errata for the book is released, this prerequisite is only being applied to PFS characters, as it is enforced in PFS play (and we'd rather people not run into situations at the table if we can help it!).
To pull from the link: "[Updated Mar 05] The design and development teams have clarified that the ancient elf heritage (page 25) requires an elven lifespan (a feature that half-elves do not have) and thus cannot be selected by half-elves using the Elf Atavism feat (Core Rulebook 58), only by full elves. Clarifying text has been added to the errata for this book." |
