Enhanced Companions

I am using the alternate ranger ability, "Enhanced Familiar" from the campaign setting guide, but I cannot figure out the best way to apply it to Hero Lab. It changes the companion's level from ranger-3, to ranger-2. Essentially, all I should need to do is add an additional HD. However, when I do that, the size, and claw/bite damage, did not increase, and he did not gain the 4th level advancement special quality (sprint). What is the solution?

I used the adjustments tab to add +1 size category to his size and +1 to the size of both natural weapons, but the weapons still list as small damage. Also, I cannot find any adjustment for sprint.
