Filter Problem

So I don't know if this is widespread, and I've learned to deal with it, but the filters for my program never works. Whenever I go to filter things, it only gives me two options: "Everything" and "Only Valid Items." I have a feeling it can actually filter more than this, but apparently my copy of HL will not do it for me.

Any suggestions would be great!

There's a text filter (a box for you to enter the text to search for) to the left of that selection.

Those are currently the only filter options available within Hero Lab.
