So, I have an IPAD Air with the latest updates. Two of my fellow gamers have ipad 2's with the latest updates. When using just the 8.8 files, my system works fine, but theirs each has a problem during loading any .por files. Sometimes the system will just go black and the program will unload when trying to load any portfolio, even the built in ones.
When I add the community datasets to the program, again, mine works fine, except if I make a change to the portfolio through the ipad program. When it autosaves the file, it drops out of the program. When going back in, the portfolio will load, but the information that changed will have reverted to the old version. On the 2 ipad 2's the portfolios will not load with the community datasets loaded. I also tried one of my .user files in conjunction with the 8.8 and I get the same results across the board. Any help would be great. Thanks. Kal |

It does that for me too sometimes. I think it may be that HL for the iPad is rather CPU-intensive. Make sure you reboot your iPad before using HL, and quit all other apps that are not needed during the game.

My players found during the last game session that when the app is "saving" to NOT touch anything. Plus wait an extra 1-2 seconds before touching anything and the app would not crash.
If a player was too quick it would kill the app almost every save. This appears to be the same problem I am running in to. It used to do the black screen shut down, now it just crashes when trying to save. It does this no matter what I touch or don't, so the waiting is a no go.

I will try shutting the ipad down and restarting fresh to see if that solves anything.
Thanks. |

For anyone having issues with the iPad app, please make sure you contact our support team (support@wolflair.com) if you haven't already. Please give a detailed description of what you're doing in the lead up to the crash/error. Thanks!

Having the same problems. I've sent the following email to support, but posting here for others:
Last night I updated my iPad2 to iOS 7.1. After the update, Herolab will not load. The Herolab splashscreen comes up for a few seconds then the app closes. I have rebooted the Ipad multiple times, closed all other apps, and have deleted and redownloaded the app. I have also cleared off some space, have 5GB free now. The app still crashes. |

Chemlak,
You should send in a report to the support team, this sounds like a support issue. Even if you aren't 100% sure, you should send in a support message and let the team of highly trained support specialists help out. RavenX Pronouns: She/Her Please do not PM me to inquire about datafiles I coded "for personal use" such as Exalted, World of Darkness, AD&D, or Warhammer 40K Roleplaying. I appreciate your interest, but I do not own the Intellectual Property rights to these game systems. Nor do I have permission from any of the Publishers to distribute the data files. As such, I cannot distribute the work I have done with community on these files. They are "for personal use" only. Thank you. I am far too busy these days to answer emails. If you message me here there is no guarantee I will get back to you at all. |

Anyone experiencing iPad issues after the update should definitely email support@wolflair.com. Even if it's an error that has already been reported, we'll be contacting everyone that reached out to let them know when an update is available.
