Lance Question

Now that the cavelier is in Herolab, I noticed that a lance is a 2handed weapon, only one handed while mounted. Is there a way to let herolab now that you are fighting mounted so that the lance can be wielded in one hand?

Could you do a similar thing in 3.5?
