Greetings Again All, I usually refrain from posting, but I must say that the Validation rules being displayed at the bottom of the roster is the COOLEST end user feature that I have seen so far in V2, don't get me wrong, V2 rocks, but the small details like this really just pushes your product over the top even more. I like it so much that I actually had to make a post to the group =] Thanks Rob And thanks to everybody that creates data files. The program is great, but would be pretty unfriendly if everybody had to create their own data files =[ So, big thanks to you all also. Ok...I'm done. __________________________________________________ ______________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________ Message: 3 Date: Wed, 4 Oct 2000 07:40:19 -0700 (PDT) From: David <EvilNuff@yahoo.com> Subject: Necron Scarab save (Was: Beta-III soon for release) >Really? I installed the latest version of AB and now the program won't launch. Two error boxes come up, the first being: "Error starting program" "The WININET.DLL file is linked to missing export SHLWAPI.DLL:wnsprintfA." The SHLWAPI.DLL file IS there... I copied it to the Armybuilder folder just to see if that would work, but it didn't. And I don't know what :wnsprintfA means. Anyway, second box that comes up is "E:\ArmyBuilder\ArmyBldr.exe" "A device attached to the system is not funcioning." I checked the CD rom, and it seems to be working. I guess this might be related to the first error. Any help would be appreciated, as I can't boot up Army Builder now I'm bummed. Thanks! However, you can use the "more" attribute on an option to achieve a similar effect. The difference is that all the options will appear in the standard list of options. If you create a bunch of options with different names for your units, you can then create a single option that uses the "more" attribute multiple times to chain to each of the name options. Then, you simply need to attach the single option to all your units and they all will show up with all of the chained options. If your goal is to use the same unit repeatedly, then you may wish to look at the "Save Unit" facility provided by Army Builder. If you save a unit, you can then reload that unit into a future roster, complete with all of the same options and items selected. Would this be easier (i.e. no editing of data files)? Hope this helps, Rob At 10:52 PM 9/30/00 +0000, you wrote: >Is there a command to list options, like the "list" command to list >units? > >What I want to do is put in names in my armybuilder so I don't have >to >distinguish them each time a build an army. > >Thanks, Jim Kiefer --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob Bowes (rob@wolflair.com) (650) 726-9689 Lone Wolf Development www.wolflair.com __________________________________________________ ______________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________ Message: 11 Date: Wed, 04 Oct 2000 14:23:11 -0700 From: Rob Bowes <rob@wolflair.com> Subject: Re: Hey Rob, small problem I've taken this issue to private email, since it may involve a few iterations. These are also now available for heroes of the imperium, blood angels commanders, farseers, and warbosses (to name the ones I checked quickly). Might want to double check how you're restricting these. As another little note, people who can take rosarii and terminator armor (such as chaplains & inquisitors) have a weird looking save now that terminator armor gives an invulnerable save. Note 3: Space marine librarians with pair lightning claws can still take a force weapon. Note 4: Is it possible to remove a Ulthwe seer council farseer's ability to take a jetbike?
