I pologize if this has been asked before, I looked around a bit before posting.
So, world or story almanac, or any similar navigation scheme. The hierarchy tree expansion nodes, They are always expanded when I open a new RW session. I set them like I want but at the next session, they are all expanded again. I have many expanded tiers to deal with. For me it would be better to find them retracted than expanded. Is there a way to make them retracted or remember their settings? BTW: RW is an essential tool for me. I'm glad I bought in. Thanks. |

No. This has been requested and discussed on the Request forum. It's in the queue for LWD but it may be a more difficult thing to change than we realize.

Just a bump on this one, since the levels within the nested hierarchies are getting crazy.

As said, it is on the radar to be dealt with.
In the meantime, they have provided a Keyboard command (Ctrl - ) that collapses the whole hierarchy to top entries (also available from the tools menu on the navigation tab). Using this a couple of times will help illustrate one reason why it is not a simple thing to do... each tab has a separate hierarchy, so collapsing one will not collapse another that is using the same View. |

I use that all the time... but it still gets frustrating having to do the same things over and over.

Just responding to keep this bumped up and on the RADAR. The current keyboard shortcuts really don't provide an easy way to collapse everything. I use PhraseExpress, a universal macro and text expander application and created a special hotkey with it that collapses everything. I wish that there were an option to make having everything collapsed by default, rather than everything expanded, as is currently the case.
