Recently i've been getting the following error [ well, four ]

does anyone know what i need to change in the editor to fix them?

all four are very similar, differing only in the TAG portion

syntax error 'pre-requisite rule' script for Thing 'fAPDuelMas' on line 1

-> Tag 'WepSpec.xPcDuelSwo' not defined
-> Tag 'WepProf.xPcDuelSwo' not defined
-> Tag 'WepFocus.xPcDuelSwo' not defined
-> Tag 'WepGrFoc.xPcDuelSwo' not defined

thanks for any help

Is "xPcDuelSwo" something that you made in the editor? Those tag errors are happening because a script is trying to reference several tags that are auto-generated for weapons, and failing because it does not find a weapon with the id "xPcDuelSwo".

It depends on what fAPDuelMas is. Based on the name I would hazard a guess that it's some kind of re-implementation of the Aldori Dueling Mastery feat, if that helps you narrow down where the content might have come from.

I've installed some 3rd party files.

So, in the editor - how do i find those lines to delete them?

[ i thought when HL was updated, those errors would clear up ]

Any 3rd-party or user-generated files will appear in XML files with a .user extension.

You can either use the editor and select "Open Data File" from the File menu to check your files one at a time (the editor will know what folder to look in), or you can use your Windows Explorer and have it search your data directory for fAPDuelMas, then open the file in a text editor. By default, that directory is C:\ProgramData\Hero Lab\data\pathfinder.

If you're using the editor to search, you will most likely find fAPDuelMas under Feats in the General tab. That's not a sure thing, but it would fit with the typical naming convention for Pathfinder content in Hero Lab.

I would check where you got the 3rd party content you've added - could it be expecting you to have also downloaded another piece of 3rd party content? See if the author left any notes about that, or even if they didn't leave any notes, see if there's something else they offer that you didn't decide to use - the author may have accidentally created an unintended dependency to some of their other material.

Before deleting the files one by one, in the Tools menu within Hero Lab, choose "Manage Third Party Updates" - that will allow you to delete them as packages, instead of finding the individual pieces of each package.

You could also try renaming the file once you find it.

Then see how HL runs or if anything broke; if it did, you can rename it back to the original version.
