HL Won't compile

HL gives me the following error message:

File: traits.str(line 145)-The character sequence '--' may not be used inside a comment. One or more timing errors were identified. Please review the timing report and correct the errors.

Line 145-147 of the traits.str file is:

This code was not a problem before and it is the code that came with the Skeleton file. Why does it not like the "--" now and it did not care before?

I just added encumbrance similar to the Savage Worlds walk through.
