Have you all at Lone Wolf thought about maybe making a ruleset for BRP? I am a big BRP fan and would LOVE to be able to use Hero Lab with my BRP campaigns. I play BRP but not Call of Cthulu. You already did Call of Cthulu so it would be a very easy deal for you to make a BRP version from that groundwork. I would buy a BRP ruleset in a minute!

Basic Role Playing system, the basis for Call of Cthulu and other games made by Chaosium.

I don't think the Wolves have any interest in BRP, outside of Call of Cthulu, which is a terrible shame.

Actually, we've made multiple attempts to contact Chaosium about this very topic, but they haven't replied to our inquiries. We tried to arrange a meeting with them at GenCon, but we got crickets from them in response. Perhaps if some of you were to politely inquire about this on the Chaosium forums, they might get back to us and we can make BRP data files happen. We're also exploring whether we can add BRP support under our current license without requiring separate, explicit approval from Chaosium.

It looks like you could do BRP by copy CoC to a new game and modding the .users files. I am working on that right now and will post more info as the project advances.

Any progress on this? I'd be very interested in getting this to work correctly!

I think this is something that the user community would need to do. LW cant create the game system without the licensing rights. So see if you can get some folks together and create a project and create the files.

Have there been any developments on this? I may get a BRP sci-fi game going soon.

(update)
I just emailed Charlie from Chaosium on this asking him to consider a licensing agreement for Herolab. You can get hold of him here if you are so inclined:
