My sister just got a new iPad Pro and gave me her old iPad 2. I installed Hero Labs and activated it with one of my spare liscenses.
However I am have a problem getting it to install the Community Pack. I inserted the updates address but get nothing. Do I have to manually createdd an export .hl file then add it to the iPad??? Watch your back, Conserve your ammo, and NEVER cut a deal with a dragon! |

Once you put the address in it usually let's you download the update. Sounds like something is not working.

I ended up exporting my own .hl file using all the COM_ files in the 5e folder. Then did the same with my own .user files. Everything worked, byt I wasn't sure if that is what I should be doing.
I am back at home so I'll get back to thwe scripting I was doing for the Community Pack asap. Watch your back, Conserve your ammo, and NEVER cut a deal with a dragon! |

Once you add the new Update Source click the blue button at the top left marked "Check for updates now". After that you should see the "D&D 5e Community Pack v1.8" displayed. Just click on it to download and install. I actually just did this on my iPad to verify its all working and it did. P.S. - Its not going to hurt to make your own .hl file. But you should only need to do that for your custom files. When I added the address and clecked 'Check for Updates Now, D&D 5th Edition for iPad showed up, but it wouldn't add anything under Installed Updates.

Is there an easy way to remove updates, or do I need to completely reinstall HL for iPad tp get rid of a .hl I created?

Gah, I'll have to go back to they way I'd done it before I got things working the proper way.
I'd forgotten I had a conflict between the UA Artificer and one I'd been using. Conflicting class names. I'd fixed it on the PC by deleteing the COM_ file that was giving me my issue. I can't do that on the iPad <sigh> Watch your back, Conserve your ammo, and NEVER cut a deal with a dragon! |
