I created a straight paladin and had improved familiar as an allowable feat.

doesn't improved familar affect their mount? or do they have a similar feat that allows their mount to be affected?

As far as I know, Improved Familiar is only applicable to familiars. I'm also not aware of a similar feat for paladin mounts (though it makes sense to have one).

There are a couple feats in the Book of Exalted Deeds which affect paladin mounts. I believe. The only one that comes to mind is Celestial Mount, which adds the celestial template to your mount... I think there was another that gave it wings or something...

And yes, the Improved familiar feat states a prerequisite as "Ability to acquire a new familiar" so I agree with you kingpaul that it shouldn't be available to paladins.

You're right - it should have a pre-requisite of having a familiar already. I'll add that to the bug list. Thanks! -- Colen McAlister, colen@wolflair.com Chief Engineer, Lone Wolf Development |
