From the announcements thread:

On Wednesday morning (October 23) at 10 AM Pacific time, we plan to take Hero Lab Online, Realm Works, and our account/sales servers down for maintenance. We expect up to about 1 hour of downtime, though it may be less.

UPDATE: In addition we will also be taking Hero Lab Online down for maintenance for up to 15 minutes on Thursday morning (October 24) at 2 AM pacific time.

UPDATE: The Wednesday morning maintenance is now complete.​

Can you maybe make this a bit more obvious and warn people with a popup (not unlike WoW does it)?

Honestly, the downtime is one of the reasons why I mostly use Herolab online as a character creator and usually run from the pdfs... syncing buffs with other party members and all the other announced features you are working on a nice in theory, but it really depends on the location.
