Hi all,

I upgraded my HL on iPad today and the characters I have on Dropbox disappeared. I saw that you can import them now, however, when I do that the changes don't make it back to Dropbox and the copy I have in Dropbox gets out of sync with my HL on Windows.

How do I get them syncing again between the two (automatically as it used to)? What am I doing wrong? Are there release note that describe the changes and a new set of published instructions?

Thanks!

-Mike

You have to do it all manually now, as Dropbox changed the API.

Does LW have any instructions on doing this, from the perspective of someone who's never done it manually?

Thanks!

On the iPad's Select Portfolio screen, click "Help" at the bottom right, and choose "Help on Using Hero Lab", and then "3. How do I move characters to my iPad?"

Hi, I've been trying to find clarification on this but I haven't been able to find a clear answer:

With the auto-syncing removed from DropBox, is that feature available on any other platform HeroLab uses? (e.g. iCloud, OneDrive, etc.?)

Or was DropBox the only app that allowed that, any as of now, all backing up of portfolios now have to be done manually?

And if so, if auto-saving planned for any future release?

I can’t import anything from Dropbox now. All files are ghosted out. I can not select a single file to import into my hero lab on the iPad anymore. This worked fine a week or so ago. What has changed?

As an added update, I can export from hero lab on the iPad to Dropbox fine. The file appears there. But I can not import it back in!

It was Dropbox only, as Dropbox offered a special API to make that kind of automatic syncing in non-Dropbox apps much easier. Then they suddenly shut down that API with very short notice.
