None of the stat boosting items work. Like the Armbands of Strength is not adding to the Strength dice.

Check on this: The item abilities always start disabled. You have to equip the item, and then go the the In-Play tab and click the checkbox under Special Abilities to activate it. This is to accommodate those items that aren't on all the time. You'll only need to do this once for each item, it will remember the setting thereafter. It just starts as unchecked.
