Bretonnian Warband: No skirmishing bowmen

I can't select the skirmish option for my peasant bowmen in my Bretonnian warband (small or large). The skirmish option IS available for the regular army, though. I didn't see any rule rgarding "no skirmishers" in the White Dwarf warbands rules, so is this a bug?

Thanks,
Albert

A little more detail...

If I increase the peasant bowman unit size to 10+ (the standard unit size for a full WHFB game), THEN the Skirmishers option becomes available, as does the braziers option. It's only when the unit size is less than standard (<10) that the problem occurs.

Thanks,
Albert

Technically Skirmish is an option for Brettonian Bowmen...according to Warbands rules you cannot select any options (there are a few exceptions) for a unit unless it is at its standard minimum unit size as opposed to its warbands minimum unit size...
I think this was primarily done to keep people from fielding as unit of exclusively Command squads but it also applies to armor, weapons and other upgrades...

This is not completly accurate. What it says in Part 2 of the Warbands Rules is that "No warband regiment may take any unit option, other than weapon and armor upgrades, unless the regiment meets its normal unit minimum listed in the Army Book.” So you can take Weapon and Armor Upgrades below the Army book minimum. So in the case Skirmishing is locked out until you hit 10 Pesasant Bowmen. I am not sure if "braziers" would be considered a weapon upgrade.

I missed that part of it...useful if we ever go back to playing warbands (as my poor Marauders can now have armor once more!)...
