Ok, I know this is a little weird, but I have an Item Power for armor that grants a certain faction. Doesn't have to do anything to show up, just add the item power and you get the faction. I added every tag I could think of to the bootstrap and to the hero, but the faction will not add to the hero. IDK, any ideas?

Did you try bootstrapping the faction with Helper.Shadow?

Yep, tried with it and without it. I even bootstrapped it to a gear item and then bootstrapped that to the item power, (a chain of bootstraps, lol). But nothing. IDK, maybe at this point I have too many tags and have been looking at it too long.
The only thing I can think of is that it's an Item Power, so maybe the bootstrap needs to go in the Gizmo, but I don't know what ID will work for a faction. Last edited by Frodie; September 29th, 2017 at 04:21 AM. |

I found a work around, (the Shadow tag doesn't seem to work on Item Powers). I added a custom tag on the Item Power that assigns it to the hero. Then made a mechanic with a conditional bootstrap of the faction. This seems to work.
