Yes, I've seen it when the XML file wasn't quite right.

What file were you trying to import?

I was trying to import a copy of my master realm into a child real for the current game.

so after so experiments the error, what ever it is, is in my child realm not my master realm. I can import the master realm into a freshly created realm, but I cannot export the child realm at all.

Have you tried doing a "compress database"? In all likelihood it won't do anything.

Is your child realm really old? There is a problem with realms creating with an early version of RW. I think it was worse if you'd changed the "game system" for the realm.

Also, have you tried a selective export of your child realm? I don't know if this would narrow down where the problem is. Maybe try exporting story and mechanics separately?

compressing didn't help.

The child has always been a pathfinder realm, though the master one was converted right when share started. I successfully imported the master realm just a couple of weeks ago.

I may just have to make a new child for my group, but will wait and see what LW says.

If you haven't done so already, I would start copying your master.realm file onto a shared cloud storage somewhere so that LW can grab it when the get to look at your ticket.

A big DB can take a while to copy :-)
